Morning Ever wondered why vintage dress watches have random animal names on the case back? Back in the '60s and '70s, watchmakers loved aquatic names—like Sea Lion, Sea Horse, or Oceanographer—to sell the idea of dust and moisture protection. It was pure vintage marketing for everyday durability!

My watch of the day is my Ingersoll Triumph pocket watch. It's a nos piece made in Britain. It's protected by this beautiful leather case / travel case, also a nos piece and it can be used to put it on your desk while you work so you always knows the time. Yeah, another one!

Vintage Tuesday for me with my Swiss Made Ingersoll 17 jewels, incabloc, anti-magnetic, dust resistant. case back 8805 I need to change this strap. it's not the correct size. I'm definitely a sucker for this square ish style case. It would be my go to main feature if I had to start again.
