Terms of Service

To access Veloce, you may register using a standard email address or through third-party authentication services, including Google (Gmail) and Apple Login. These authentication services are managed via Firebase.

• Third-Party Terms: By using Google or Apple to log in, you also agree to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
• Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials (including your third-party login security) and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Eligibility: You represent that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

Product descriptions and appearances are provided as accurately as possible via our Shopify integration. However, actual colors and details may vary based on your device. We reserve the right to change product descriptions, pricing, or availability at any time without notice.

All physical product orders placed through the Veloce shop are processed via Shopify. We reserve the right to refuse any order. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all transactions.

Paid brand promotion packages (Submit Watch News) are processed separately via Stripe. By completing a submission payment, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. See Section 4 for full details on submission packages.

The Submit Watch News feature allows brands and PR representatives to pay for editorial consideration and promotion on the Veloce platform. This feature is intended for commercial entities promoting watch-related products or news.

Available packages:

• Blog Post ($25): A drafted article published on the Veloce blog, subject to editorial review.
• Blog + Newsletter ($75): Blog post plus inclusion in the next scheduled newsletter to our subscriber list.
• Full Feature ($120): Blog post, newsletter inclusion, and an Instagram post to our followers.

Process: After payment is confirmed, your submission enters our editorial review queue. We reserve the right to edit submissions for clarity, style, grammar, and factual accuracy before publication. Submissions must comply with our content standards and must relate to watch collecting, horology, or the watch industry.

Editorial Independence: All published content remains subject to Veloce's editorial standards. We may add disclosures indicating content was submitted and paid for. We do not guarantee positive coverage and may present information objectively.

Timeline: We aim to publish blog posts within 5–10 business days of a confirmed submission. Newsletter and social inclusions occur at our next scheduled send/post, which we do not guarantee on a fixed schedule.

Refunds:

• Submissions not yet reviewed: a full refund is available within 48 hours of payment by contacting us at hello@theveloceapp.com.
• Submissions that have been declined due to content standards violations: a full refund will be issued automatically within 5–7 business days.
• Submissions already published: no refund is available once the content has been published.

Payment: Processed via Stripe. Your payment data is handled by Stripe and is not stored on Veloce servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

When you subscribe to the Veloce newsletter via the website form or mobile app, you consent to receive periodic emails that may include:

• Watch industry news and editorial content
• Community highlights and collector stories
• Product announcements, promotions, and brand spotlights

Unsubscribing: Every newsletter email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You may also request removal at any time by emailing hello@theveloceapp.com. Unsubscribe requests are processed promptly and you will not receive further marketing emails after removal.

Email delivery: Newsletters are delivered via Resend, our third-party email service provider. By subscribing, your email address is stored in our system and processed by Resend in accordance with their privacy policy.

Engagement tracking: We track email open rates and link clicks to understand content preferences and improve our communications. This data is used internally and is not sold. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

App account holders: If you hold a Veloce app account, you may also receive transactional notifications (such as comment alerts, likes, and follow notifications). These transactional notifications are separate from marketing emails and may not be fully opted out of while maintaining an active account.

• Geolocation: Veloce may use real-time geolocation data to display nearby watch listings or community content. This data is processed locally and ephemerally; we do not store your permanent location history on our servers.
• Advertising: We use Google AdMob to serve ads within the mobile app. Third-party providers may use device identifiers to serve ads based on your interests.
• Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how our website is used. On the web, analytics are only activated after you accept via our cookie consent banner (Consent Mode v2). Data is collected in aggregate and does not personally identify you.

• Ownership: All original content, designs, and trademarks within Veloce are owned by Veloce. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
• Brand Trademarks: Veloce is an independent enthusiast platform. All third-party trademarks, logos, and brand names (e.g., Rolex, Omega, Seiko) featured in the platform are the property of their respective owners. Their use is for identification purposes only and does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by these brands.

By posting photos, comments, or other content on Veloce, you grant Veloce a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, non-exclusive license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content across the Veloce platform (web and mobile). You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you post.

Content you post publicly on the mobile app will also be visible on the Veloce website. By posting publicly, you consent to this cross-platform visibility.

Moderation: We use keyword flagging and community reporting to monitor for spam, illegal content, or violations of community standards. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.

Veloce relies on the following third-party services to operate the platform. By using Veloce, you acknowledge that these providers have their own terms and privacy policies that govern their respective services:

• Shopify: Provides e-commerce infrastructure for the Veloce shop. Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of the products provided by Veloce. You release Shopify from any liability related to your product transactions.
• Stripe: Processes payments for paid submission packages (Submit Watch News). Your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is not stored on Veloce servers. Stripe's use of your data is governed by their privacy policy.
• Resend: Delivers newsletter and transactional emails on our behalf. Your email address is processed by Resend when you subscribe or receive communications from us.
• Firebase (Google): Provides authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage (Firebase Storage) for the platform. Your account data, posts, and uploaded images are stored in Google-managed infrastructure.

You may not use Veloce for any unlawful purpose, to infringe on intellectual property, to harass or harm other users, to submit fraudulent or misleading paid content, or to facilitate unauthorized commercial activity within the community.

The Services are provided "as is." Veloce is not liable for any damages, data loss, or service interruptions resulting from your use of the platform. Publication timelines for paid submissions are estimates only and we are not liable for delays beyond stated targets.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tucson, Arizona.
