Discover three exciting microbrand watches from early 2026, including Baltic's stone-dialed Prismic, Selten's intricate Jui Bauhinia, and Anoma's sculptural A1, all pushing the boundaries of design and craftsmanship.
Man, 2026 is kicking off strong for indie watchmakers. Forget the usual dive watches; we're seeing some wild stuff with crazy cases, intricate dials, and that cool, smaller vintage vibe. It's awesome to see brands really pushing the boat out and giving us something fresh to talk about. We've got three new releases hitting the scene that are definitely worth a closer look.
First up, Baltic dropped the Prismic Stone into their permanent collection. This means you can snag a watch with a stunning stone dial, like that stormy Pietersite, without the usual limited edition scramble. Plus, the case uses a mix of titanium and steel, giving it a unique look that really plays with the light. And at 36mm with a manual-wind Peseux 7001, it’s a proper dress watch that feels super refined on the wrist.
Then there's the Selten Jui Bauhinia, which is all about that insane dial. They've taken mother-of-pearl, tinted it, and then managed to CNC guilloché it without cracking the whole thing – that’s seriously next-level craftsmanship, making it look like a blooming flower. And if you're into something totally different, the Anoma A1 is a real head-turner. This thing doesn’t even have traditional lugs; it’s a rounded, asymmetrical triangle that just floats on your wrist, like a modern art piece. It might not be your everyday watch, but it’s definitely one of the most interesting designs we've seen this year.
