The name is a direct nod to the brand's history. For ten years, Monta’s founders developed their ideas in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, a city in the Jura Mountains known for its watchmaking heritage. Much of this work took place at the Beau Rivage hotel, where sketches for the original Triumph first came to life.
Both anniversary editions pull from the same mid-century tool watch aesthetic that informs the entire Monta catalog. They feature painted Opalin dials and a custom beige-toned Super-LumiNova. This approach results in a pair of watches that feel both new and deeply connected to the brand's origins.

The Skyquest Neuchâtel · X is positioned as the watch Monta would have designed for jet-age travel sixty years ago. It’s a classic traveler’s GMT, but with dial details created exclusively for this 100-piece run. The changes go beyond a simple color swap.
This is a distinct configuration within the Skyquest lineup. It joins a growing number of independent brands marking milestones with travel watches, like the recent Raymond Weil Freelancer World-Traveller GMT, another anniversary limited edition.
The dial is finished with a warm, painted Opalin background. Unlike the standard Skyquest, this edition features printed markings, a one-off logo, and typography styled after vintage tool watches. The handset is also exclusive to this model.
A special beige-toned Super-LumiNova was developed for this release to complete the mid-century look. The flat, beveled sapphire crystal has seven layers of anti-reflective coating, ensuring legibility from all angles.

The 316L stainless steel case measures 40.7mm in diameter, 11.8mm thick, and 47.4mm from lug to lug. These dimensions, combined with a 20mm lug width, create a versatile footprint suitable for a range of wrist sizes. The screw-down crown with guards and a sapphire caseback contribute to its robust build.
It has a water resistance rating of 300 meters, a specification more common to dive watches than GMTs. This positions the Skyquest as a true go-anywhere tool. Inside is the MONTA Caliber M-23, a Swiss-made self-winding movement with a 56-hour power reserve, enough to last through a weekend off the wrist.

While the Oceanking was Monta’s first model, the brand credits the Triumph with its survival and continued existence. Following a challenging Baselworld in 2017, the founders pivoted to a direct-to-consumer online model. They staked the company's future on preorders for the Triumph, which was then still a prototype.

That gamble paid off, establishing Monta within the enthusiast community. This anniversary edition is a nod to that pivotal moment. It takes the second-generation Triumph, launched in 2025, and brings it closer to the 1960s tool watches that inspired the original design.
The dial is a painted Opalin silver, a unique finish for this edition. Instead of the applied markers on the standard model, this version uses painted black lacquer indices. This creates a clean, graphic look reminiscent of vintage field watches.
The glossy, wet-black painted hands are also exclusive to this watch. They sit above the same beige-toned Super-LumiNova used on the anniversary Skyquest, tying the two limited editions together visually.
Instead of using precious metals or ornate finishing for its tenth anniversary, Monta leaned further into its tool-watch identity with painted dials and vintage-inspired typography.

The Triumph’s 316L stainless steel case comes in at 40mm in diameter, 10.5mm thick, and 47.8mm lug-to-lug. It’s slightly broader but noticeably thinner than the Skyquest, consistent with its field watch classification. A screw-down crown with guards helps secure its 200-meter water resistance rating.
It is powered by the MONTA Caliber M-22, a Swiss-made automatic based on the Sellita SW300. This movement also provides a 56-hour power reserve and is visible through a sapphire caseback set in an engraved steel ring. Any dialhead will appreciate the practicality of its specifications.

Both watches come on Monta’s stainless steel bracelet, known for its focus on a precise fit. The system includes a quick-adjust clasp and two half-links. The Triumph’s clasp specifies three micro-adjustment positions, allowing for on-the-fly sizing without tools.

This level of bracelet articulation is a key functional feature for daily wear. It addresses a common issue in watches at this price point, where achieving a perfect fit can often require aftermarket solutions.
The Neuchâtel · X editions will be shown publicly for the first time at the WindUp Watch Fair in New York City, from October 16 to 18. Sales begin at the Monta booth and online on the show's opening day, Friday, October 16. With only 100 units of each model available, they represent a very specific chapter in the brand's story.
Monta's tenth-anniversary editions focus on the brand's history and design principles. The Skyquest Neuchâtel · X ($2,485) is a highly capable GMT for travelers who want a tool watch, while the Triumph Neuchâtel · X ($1,895) is a historically significant field watch with refined, vintage-inspired aesthetics.

The Skyquest is a GMT watch designed for tracking a second time zone, with a 40.7mm case and 300 meters of water resistance. The Triumph is a time-and-date field watch with a 40mm case and 200 meters of water resistance. The Skyquest also features a unique dial logo and typography not found on any other Monta.
The MONTA Caliber M-23 (Skyquest) and M-22 (Triumph) are Swiss-made automatic movements. The M-22 is specified as being based on the Sellita SW300. Monta states its calibers are manufactured, assembled, and tested in Switzerland.
Both the Skyquest Neuchâtel · X and the Triumph Neuchâtel · X are limited editions. There will be 100 individually numbered pieces of each model produced.
The stainless steel bracelet on both models features a quick-adjust clasp system that allows for small adjustments to the fit without tools. The system includes three micro-adjustment settings and two removable half-links, which helps achieve a more precise and comfortable fit on the wrist.
Both limited editions will be available for purchase starting on Friday, October 16, 2026. They can be bought online through the official Monta website or in person at the Monta booth during the WindUp Watch Fair in New York (October 16-18).
